Sophie is the founder and head therapist at The Primrose Practice. She is an experienced English speaking therapist with years of organizational and private practice experience as a psychotherapist, group facilitator and clinical coordinator.
Before opening her own private psychotherapy practice in Berlin, she worked for a private inpatient psychiatric service specializing in severe mental health issues such as eating disorders, addiction, obsessive compulsive behaviours, gender dsyphoria, anxiety disorders and depression. During the same time, she also worked for The Recover Clinic, an outpatient service specializing in eating disorders where she was the senior therapist involved in one to one sessions, family counselling, and group facilitation.
Sophie successfully completed her MA in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, an internationally renowned psychiatric clinic for mental health in the UK. She has also completed an Integrative Psychotherapy certificate from The Minster Centre and consistently takes part in continued professional development.
In addition to her clinical experience and training, Sophie has lived internationally, travelling extensively and finally moving to Berlin where she is currently based.
She is a member of the Association for Counsellors and Therapists in Berlin (ACT Berlin) and is fully qualified to practice in Germany according to the Heilpraktikergesetz (HPG).
